Are you arriving by plane?
The official Barcelona taxis are yellow and black and have a green light on top when they are free. The fare from Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 of El Prat International Airport to Barcelona is around €35 (plus a luggage surcharge). The journey from El Prat International Airport to the Hotel takes approximately 20 minutes, depending on the traffic.
This is the bus service that connects the Airport and Plaça de Catalunya, and vice versa. Fares: €5.65/one-way ticket; €9.75/ return ticket You can purchase your ticket from the staff at the bus stop, at the automatic vending machines or pay the bus driver in cash or by credit card. The bus connects El Prat Airport (T1 and T2) and Plaça de Catalunya every 10 minutes, depending on the Terminal and day of the week.
From Plaça de Catalunya you can walk down the famous Paseo de Gracia and reach the hotel in around 10 minutes. If you wish, you can use the city bus service. Take bus number 24 and get off at the third stop, at Paseo de Gracia with Mallorca.
There are regular Renfe trains from El Prat Airport to several points in the city of Barcelona, such as Passeig de Gràcia and Estació de Sants. Fare: €2.85. This same train will also take you to the corner of Paseo de Gracia and Calle Aragón, a mere 200 metres from the Hostel. Trains depart approximately every 25 minutes. From Paseo de Gracia station, the first train leaves at 5:40 am, and the last at 10:40 pm. From the Airport, the first train leaves at 6:25 am and the last at 11:50 pm.
Are you arriving by car?
If you are driving from Girona, the Costa Brava or Francia, take the AP7/E15 toll road and then the C-33 motorway to Barcelona until you reach the city on the Ronda del Litoral coastal ring-road; then take the Plaza de les Glòries/Gran Via de les Corts Catalanes exit, continue along Gran Via de les Corts Catalanes and turn right onto Passeig de Gràcia; then turn left into Calle Mallorca and continue for around 50 m until you get to number 255 on Calle Mallorca.
If you are driving from Lleida, Zaragoza or Madrid, take the A2/E90 toll road (Autovia del Nord-est). Enter Barcelona on Avinguda Diagonal and continue on to Passeig de Gràcia; then turn right and go straight on for 300m until you reach Calle Mallorca. Then turn right again and continue along Calle Mallorca for around 50 m until you reach the CIUDAD CONDAL.
Are you arriving by train or coach?
If you come by train, you will arrive at “Barcelona Sants” central station, where all the main Spanish and international trains arrive. Without leaving the station, you can transfer to the city underground. Take line 5 “Vall d’Hebron”- bound and get off at the third stop, called “Diagonal”. The Diagonal station has two exits, either to Rambla de Catalunya or to Paseo de Gracia. Walk for 2 minutes down either of them to Carrer de Mallorca, where you will find us.
